GYMNASTICS & TUMBLING CLASSES

Classes at Ultimate are based on students' ages and abilities.  We want to make sure students are grouped together with others that are most similar in their learning abilities and age.  We do understand that all kids are different in every learning aspect and so we try to maintain a low teacher to student ratio.  Teacher to student ratios at Ultimate are below the national average gymnastics club ratios and are the lowest in Southern Illinois!! After ages are combined, we want to make sure we are able to challenge students in their abilities.  If a student has passed all required skills within their class and has a good attention span, they will be moved to the next level.  Students have a progress report filled out 2-4 times a year with all skills for their current level.  If these are met and they have a recommendation by their coach, they can move to the next level.

PRIVATE LESSONS:

We offer one-on-one or semi-private lessons for students that want some extra help with their skills in gymnastics, tumbling or cheerleading. Price per lesson will vary based on the number of students enrolled in it, but all are 30-minute once-a-week lessons and we still charge tuition monthly. Unlike group classes, tuition is based on the number of lessons that month the athlete will be attending, so monthly tuition will fluctuate for a private lesson student. We will adjust the price for requested absences or days the gym is closed.

We try to work around the family's schedule when it comes to scheduling private lessons, however our private lessons are usually scheduled after school times between 3:30-4:30pm. Scheduling a lesson to start after 5:00pm would be difficult as most of our teachers are already teaching their group classes by 4:30pm. We do not offer private lessons on the weekends.

What skills can your child already do? What are they interested in learning in a private lesson? Knowing what they can and cannot do will help us determine the right coach for them and then we can check that coach's schedule. For a semi-private lesson (more than one student enrolled), we ask that the students have a similar skill set and are working towards the same goal. Since they are sharing the time, they will both get more out of it (time-wise and cost-wise) if they are working on the same skill.

We do not post our private lesson schedule online so you will need to contact the office for current availability. You will need to have an account created on our website before we can enroll your child, so we highly recommend doing that first before contacting us (Customer Portal link on the left hand side).
